Fight Against Terror

In a series of blasts and shoot outs, the city of Mumbai appears to have come under attack. According to the news, there appear to be at least seven different locations in the city that have been attacked. In an unprecedented sort of terror, a combination of gun fire, blasts, grenade blasts have been used to attack cinema halls, hotels, hospitals, and other public places. At least 200 people are reported to have been killed 327 are injured as unidentified groups of gunmen opened fire in at least four places across south Mumbai on Wednesday night.Terrorists held people hostage in two five-star hotels, the Taj Intercontinental and Trident (formerly Oberoi) facing the waterfront across the Arabian Sea, and the Madam Cama Hostel.

At least five hostages and two terrorists have been killed at Nariman House, a Jewish centre in Mumbai that was taken over by militants on Wednesday night.
J K Dutt, director general of the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, confirmed the death of five hostages and that of two terrorists at the Jewish centre in Colaba.
Three top police officials, including Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare, were among the nine policemen killed in gunfights with the terrorists, police confirmed.
Among terror targets was the city's busiest railway station, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). "This is a most audacious attack. It is a very serious situation and gun battles are still on in at least three places," said Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
Deshmukh confirmed early Thursday morning that terrorists had struck at 10 places.

The operations at Oberoi-Trident hotel and Nariman House, have been successful. At the Taj hotel the elite NSG, is conducting one of its biggest counter-terror offensives. Director general of NSG J K Dutt said, from the intensity of the firing and different points that the terrorists have occupied, it appears that two or three of them are still left. Explosions and intermittent firing at the heritage Taj Hotel building are going on. The Commando operation in the Nariman House, where some Jews were made hostages, was completed . A portion of the building has been damaged in the security operation. Two terrorists each were killed in the operation in Nariman House and Oberoi-Trident hotel. Three Pakistani Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists have been arrested in connection with the Mumbai siege. The militants told interrogators that 12 of them had left Karachi Port in a merchant vessel which was on its way to Vietnam and reached Mumbai in two groups to strike. The toll is likey to go up. The condition of some of the injured is, critical. Air correspondent reports that the Maharashtra government has appealed to the people to maintain clam and not to pay heed to any rumor.

It is extremely scary to watch all this on the news.i'm immoderately shaking in fear right now. i never get so shaken up by news. it's the distance that's doing this. if i was in bombay i might not have been watching the news so carefully.

I am fully compassionate for these events and pray for the well being of everyone injured and their families, in today’s Mumbai terror attack.
But friends, don’t you think that we humans, all of us are responsible for this. Some amongst us deliberately hurt, abuse, and kill poor, helpless, speechless animals. Rests of us are responsible for this ugly face of humanity, by simply watching silently, neglecting or allowing the abuse and molestation of these innocents. But, who cares and how many care? But, if even a single human life is jeopardized, the entire world watches and sobs!

May God bless the humanity with peace, love, and compassion and brings consciousness and wisdom to all those responsible for destroying the beauty of nature and true humanity!
